A man from Robbins is behind bars facing two charges after being arrested by investigators from the Moore County Sheriff’s Department, according to a news release from Sheriff Ronnie Fields.
After receiving a report of statutory rape on Jan. 5, the sheriff’s department began an investigation in the Robbins area.
Twenty-eight-year-old Dakota Davis was arrested on the same day and charged with one count of statutory rape and one count of statutory sex offense.
“Anyone with information regarding this or any other investigation is requested to contact the Moore County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 910-947-4444,” said Fields.
The suspect’s bond was set at $500,000. He is due in court Wednesday and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
