A crash blocked an intersection in Taylortown on Monday evening, marking two significant crashes in under an hour in Taylortown. The crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Juniper Lake Road.
Authorities on scene told Sandhills Sentinel that the collision happened when a truck failed to yield to another vehicle while passing through the intersection.
The collision blocked the intersection for a period of time while crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the incident.
EMS evaluated patients at the scene, though authorities did not confirm how many people were transported to the hospital.
The crash occurred shortly after another wreck nearby at the intersection of Main Street and U.S. Route 211 while traffic was being diverted.
Responding agencies included Taylortown Police Department, Pinehurst Fire Department, and Moore County EMS.
