Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced in a news advisory some recent arrests:
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announces the arrest of one individual following a search in the Carthage area.
On Nov. 14, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office assisted Moore County Probation/Parole with a search of a residence in the 100 block of Wave Road in Carthage. During the search, detectives seized suspected methamphetamine, buprenorphine hydrochloride, and items of drug paraphernalia.
Arrested:
Kane Eli Avonce, 27, Carthage
Charges- Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kane Eli Avonce was also served with probation violations.
Bond: 48-Hour Hold

On Nov. 14, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office assisted Moore County Probation/Parole with a search of a residence in the 100 block of Tram Road in West End. During the search, detectives seized suspected amphetamine, marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia, and items of marijuana paraphernalia.
Arrested:
Rhonda Lakeisha Bates, 33, West End
Charges- Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana up to ½ ounce, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia.
Bond: $2,500 Secured

On Nov. 14, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office assisted Moore County Probation/Parole with a search of a residence in the 500 block of Fox Spring Drive in Robbins. During the search, detectives seized suspected heroin, methamphetamine, oxycodone, and items of drug paraphernalia.
Arrested:
Dakota Aaron Rush, 27, Robbins
Charges- Possession of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Dakota Aaron Rush was also served with a probation violation.
Bond: 48-Hour Hold

Arrested:
Marcus Lamon Harris, 53, West End
Charges- Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Marcus Lamon Harris was also served with probation violations.
Bond: 48-Hour Hold

On Nov. 14, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office assisted Moore County Probation/Parole with a search of a residence in the 100 block of Haines Court in Southern Pines. During the search, detectives seized suspected fentanyl, marijuana, and a firearm.
Arrested:
Takai Terrell Roe, 30, Southern Pines
Charges- Possession of Firearm by Felon. Takai Terrell Roe was also served with probation violations.
Bond: 48-Hour Hold

Jamylah Shaquis Diane Upchurch, 24, Southern Pines
Charges- Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana up to ½ ounce.
Bond: $7,500 Secured

On Nov. 14, deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office assisted Moore County Probation/Parole with a search of a residence in the 1500 block of Juniper Lake Road in West End. During the search, detectives seized suspected buprenorphine hydrochloride and items of drug paraphernalia.
Arrested:
Je’core Rayshad McKoy, 32, West End
Charges- Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule III Controlled Substance, Simple Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Je’core Rayshad McKoy was also served with a parole violation.
Bond: $25,000 Secured
Court Date: Nov. 22
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
