The Town of Southern Pines announced a 6-month construction project will close a portion of a road to traffic beginning next year.
The East Morganton Road Waterline Replacement project will close East Morganton Road to through traffic from May Street to Indiana from Jan. 4 to July 31.
“The primary detour will be along Indiana Ave and signage will be placed to direct traffic,” said the town on Monday. “Local traffic will still have access via the adjacent side streets.”
