Sunday evening, Carthage Police were called to investigate a shooting on Pete Kelly Road, behind John Deer.
The victim in the shooting (whose name was not released) was not injured in the shooting.
There are four suspects, and one has been arrested and booked at the Moore County Detention Center.
Shyheim Nasir Cooper, 18, of Carthage, was arrested around 2 a.m. Monday. He was charged with attempted first-degree murder and accessory after the fact. His bond was set at $500,000 and will appear in court on April 6.
There are three other suspects that have been identified but not arrested at this time. According to Carthage Police Chief Davis, there was a connection between the suspects and the victim. This was not a random act of violence.
A vehicle was seized, and a search warrant will be issued on the vehicle sometime Tuesday.
