DA releases report

A third suspect has been arrested for the murder of a local man shortly after two other suspects were arrested on Thursday, according to a statement from Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.

Patrick Jamar Stubbs, 36, of Carthage, is charged with the murder of Jeremy Daron Taylor and is being held without bond at the Moore County Detention Center.

Edward Jarmaine Allbrooks, 33, of Aberdeen, and Laura Nicole McLean, 37, of Carthage, were arrested and charged with murder hours earlier. They are also being held without bond.

Taylor, 40, was shot in the 800 block of White Rock Road Sunday evening around 9:30 p.m.

When law enforcement and emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found Taylor laying in the road with a gunshot wound to the head.

CPR was administered to the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
