Three men are facing charges following the execution of a search warrant in the Eagle Springs area of Moore County.
According to Sheriff Ronnie Fields, on January 30, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Eagle Springs Road in Eagle Springs. During the search, detectives seized suspected cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone, hydrocodone, items of drug paraphernalia, and more than $800 in U.S. currency.
As a result of the investigation, Henry Diggs, 49, of Jackson Springs, was arrested and is facing charges of trafficking in opium or heroin by possession, possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dwight Cole, 73, of Eagle Springs, was also arrested and is facing charges of felony possession of cocaine, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (hydrocodone), simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Additionally, Demetrick Collins, 48, of Pinehurst, was arrested and is facing charges of simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Diggs and Cole were each committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond. Cole was committed under a $1,500 bond. All three defendants are scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on February 18 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
