Military families at Fort Bragg will receive a special holiday delivery at 8 a.m., Nov. 30, at Smith Lake Recreation area.

As part of the Trees for Troops program, more than 400 real Christmas trees will be delivered to help Fort Bragg service members and their families celebrate the holidays.

The Christmas trees are free for active duty service members E-6 and below.

Vouchers for the trees were given out on a first-come, first-serve basis at Leisure Travel Services beginning at 10 a.m., Nov. 26.

Those with a voucher and a valid Department of Defense identification card can pick up their tree from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Nov. 30. After 10 a.m., any remaining trees will be distributed to non-voucher holders, E-6 and below, with a DoD ID card, until all trees are gone.
