A pickup truck was found abandoned on George P. Road in Robbins after a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.
The wrecked Toyota Tacoma truck was spotted shortly before 1 p.m. by a passerby near the intersection with Howard’s Mill Road. The vehicle appears to have crossed the opposite lane, left the roadway, crashed through a fence, and came to rest against trees.
The truck was partially on its side, with its tires off the ground.

The crash as seen from the roadway.
Authorities at the scene told Sandhills Sentinel that the vehicle was already cold when responders arrived, leading them to believe the crash happened earlier in the morning, possibly after 9 a.m.
No driver was found at the scene.
High Falls Fire Department and Moore County Public Safety responded. This is an ongoing investigation.
