Two individuals from Spring Lake were apprehended following a break-in at a Seven Lakes business.
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie said his department was called to the business on MacDougall Drive at 2 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21. The business name was not provided.
“Deputies obtained a suspect vehicle description, which they quickly located leaving the area,” said Fields in a news advisory. “After conducting a traffic stop, deputies recovered thousands of dollars in goods stolen from the business, methamphetamine, and items of drug paraphernalia.”
Deputies arrested Brian Borowski, 41, of Spring Lake, in connection with the incident. He is facing charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen goods, trafficking in amphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance, possession of burglary tools, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He was jailed at the Moore County Detention Center without bond.
Zachary McKoy, 44, of Spring Lake, was also arrested on charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen goods, trafficking in amphetamine, and felony possession of methamphetamine. McKoy was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond.
Both are due in court on May 31 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
