Two arrested following search warrant for drugs in West End

Two men were arrested on alleged drug charges when a search warrant was executed in West End.

“On October 19th, 2022, deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Pine Hill Road in West End,” said Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news advisory.

During the search, deputies confiscated cocaine, marijuana, buprenorphine, naloxone, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana paraphernalia.

“The executed search warrant was the conclusion of a drug investigation,” said Fields.

James Gibson, 35, from Aberdeen, is facing charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintain vehicle/dwelling/place-controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Gibson was held in the Moore County Detention Center on a $60,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court on Oct. 26.

John Wilson Jr., 65, from Aberdeen, was charged with simple possession of schedule VI-controlled substance, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Wilson was held in the Moore County Detention Center on a $1,500 secured bond pending a first appearance in court on Nov. 17.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
