Woman arrested for child abuse, warrant issued for man

A woman was arrested for child abuse, and deputies with Moore County Sheriff’s Department were searching for a man who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest on a child abuse charge but was later arrested.

“On the evening of Wednesday, December 15, 2021 the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible child abuse,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields. “Responding deputies responded to a residence in West End where they located a one-year-old child with apparent physical injuries. The child was immediately removed from the home and medically evaluated at UNC Medical Hospital.”

The next day, investigators arrested Destiny Hoschouer, 22, of Asheboro, after the child was evaluated. Her bond was set at $500,000. Hoschouer was charged with one count of felony intentional child abuse inflicting serious injury.
