First Bank in Vass was robbed Wednesday afternoon around 1:30, and law enforcement is looking for the suspects.

The suspects fled the scene in an orange colored, four-door, Dodge Ram pickup truck.

After speaking with Vass Police Chief, Tim Blakely, we can confirm that one man entered the bank wearing a black coat, gloves, white and gray Nike sneakers. The man was described as a thin caucasian male wearing a gray bandana and brandishing a black handgun. The driver waited in the truck and was described as a heavier set white male.

Vass-Lakeview Elementary school was on a lockdown after the robbery as a precautionary measure; however, the lockdown has been lifted and the students are expected to be dismissed on time today, according to Moore County Schools.

There were no injuries reported in the robbery.
