Multiple fire departments responded to a house fire in Aberdeen Sunday morning around 10:30 am. The fire was initially paged as an outside fire. When the first units arrived on the scene, they reported the house itself was on fire and asked for additional units to respond.  However, the firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
The residence, in the 100 block of Vincent Way, had extensive damage to the back porch, and smoke could be seen coming from the eaves around the house.  The family was not at home at the time of the fire and were reportedly at church when the blaze broke out.
There were no injuries reported. Â The cause of the fire is under investigation. Â Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Pinehurst Fire Department, and Aberdeen Police Department.
