A female passenger was life-flighted to a trauma center after a single-vehicle wreck in Vass near the Vass-Carthage Road and Dogwood Avenue intersection on Monday.
Officials said the car traveling toward Vass-Carthage Road swerved across lanes, crashed over the cement curb, destroying it, and collided with trees down an embankment three feet from water.

Residents near the crash scene reported it at 6:32 a.m.
The male driver was kneeling outside the vehicle when officers arrived. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
