The new owners of the Southern Pines multiplex movie theater announced in a press release the reopening of the theater this weekend in time to bring the community the Easter and early summer blockbuster films from Hollywood.
This comes on the heels of the previous theater company, Paragon Sandhills, closing its doors on March 25 after not renewing its lease on the Brucewood Road building.
Managing Partner of Sandhills 10 Cinemas, Jeremy Welman, said Sonic 2, with Jim Carrey, Michael Bay’s action thriller, Ambulance, Marvel’s, Morbius, and the action-adventure film, Lost City, will play this weekend.
In the weeks ahead, the community can look forward to Fantastic Beasts, The Secrets of Dumbledore, Father Stu, The Bad Guys, Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the long-awaited Top Gun Maverick for Memorial Day.
The new management team behind Sandhills 10 has a combined 100+ years of experience in the cinema industry and is looking to make meaningful changes to the theater in the months ahead to enhance the customer experience. The new group will be operating under the name Carolina Cinemas. Doors open this Friday, April 8 at 3 p.m.
