Heavy smoke expected due to training

The Aberdeen Fire & Rescue Department and other local fire departments will conduct a live fire training exercise at 808 Pee Dee Road on April 25 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Pee Dee Road, from Chapel Greens Place to Foothill Street, will be closed during the training exercise. Please access Pee Dee Road from U.S. 15-501.

“This training will involve the burning of the residential structure at this location,” said the Town of Aberdeen. “There will be heavy smoke in the area from time to time. These types of training exercises allow the departments to be better prepared and trained for future emergencies.”

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Fire Department at 910-944-7888.
