Alert issued after fox bite incident in Pinebluff

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced on Friday that a fox is on the loose after a biting incident in Pinebluff.

The incident occurred in the 100 block of East Philadelphia Avenue. 

Fields alerted residents with the following safety guidelines:

1. Please use caution when outdoors
2. Do not approach or attempt to capture the fox if seen
3. When possible, keep pets and small children indoors
4. Secure garbage and other food sources to avoid attracting wildlife

Fields did not state if the fox bit a person or another animal.
