Buggy Town Yard Signs loves to celebrate

Jill Lumgair began Buggy Town Yard Signs to help her children gain work experience and because it’s fun. The Lumgairs are a military family who settled in Moore County for ‘the friendliness of the people, and the beauty of North Carolina.”

Buggy Town Yard Signs, based in Carthage, has sign packages for a variety of occasions such as birthdays with superhero themes, weddings, graduations, new homes, humorous occasions, and more.

Jill Lumgair, of Buggy Town Yard Signs, presents the new home purchase sign package on April 27, 2022, in Carthage.

Special orders are welcome, but Lumgair needs an advance notice, and the price will reflect the special order.

“I had a special order from an officer’s wife whose husband made colonel,” Lumgair said.

The basic price is $75 and includes a large flash sign and a few things with identifiers like name and age.

Jill Lumgair, of Buggy Town Yard Signs, sets up the graduation sign package.

For $100, a 10-foot-wide stream of individual letters, four signs, name, age, and flare with stars and balloons are installed.

For $125, Buggy Town Yard Signs installs all the above plus unlimited flare to say, “I really care!”

Signs are up for a standard 24 hours, and an extra night is $25.

“For graduation and parties, people rent them for two to four nights,” Lumgair said.

Her children help set up and pick up the signs.

The wedding theme package is one of Lumgair’s favorites, with its diamonds and tiara. Another favorite is the superhero package in the shape of characters like Spider-Man.

This Saturday, April 30, look for Bitty Buggy Bouquets for $50 to $65 at SpringFest in downtown Southern Pines from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
