A ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held for Moore County’s newest fitness center.

Burn Boot Camp is a new and unique fitness center in Aberdeen, and they are excited for you to feel the burn. Burn Boot Camp offers multiple workout classes, which they call camps (calling them classes results in you doing five burpees).

If you have 45 minutes to give, you can burn 700 calories per camp. Complimentary childcare and a dedicated staff of certified trainers make this a fitness center for people of all ages and physical conditions.

When asked what sets Burn Boot Camp apart from other facilities, the Burn Team will tell you community. Mutual support and encouragement is a hallmark of Burn Boot Camp. You will often see high fives and encouragement, regardless of differing levels of physical condition.

Another distinction is they will customize the workout to meet each person’s starting fitness level and goals. Each member will have a 15-minute focus meeting with staff trainers that can deal with nutrition, fitness goals or focus on a specific exercise, such as the jump rope.

The center has a special floor that is similar to a gymnastic floor. The bounciness of the floor can reduce strain on the joints and increase the energy of your workout. Upbeat music, energetic and well-trained trainers, free childcare and a vibrant and supportive community make Burn Boot Camp the place to transform your life.

Burn Boot Camp offers a free 14-day test drive to see if the program is right for you. They also offer free camps every Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

You can contact them at (910) 725-1171 to schedule an introductory meeting and obtain a camp schedule. They offer various camps including co-ed and female only.

Burn Boot Camp is located at 290-A Turner Street, next to Staples. You can learn more about their services on their website.
