Club Pilates gets Pinehurst moving

Club Pilates is bringing high-quality, life-changing training to Moore County with its latest location in Pinehurst. Co-owner and general manager Katie Pelnik is looking forward to the positive influence she hopes Club Pilates will bring to the Sandhills.

“I have already had members sign up that have told me they went to Club Pilates in other areas and are so excited to see it coming to Pinehurst because it helped them with stress management, cured a herniated disc, they enjoyed going with their spouse, and made friends there,” explained Katie. “That is exciting to hear, and we hope to have those same effects at our Pinehurst location.”

Katie will be running the location along with her parents, Chris and Linda Pelnik.

“I chose Pinehurst because it is close to my family, and I noticed right away how tight knit the community is here; when I visited Pinehurst, it quickly started to feel like home,” Katie said. “I have had so much support from local businesses here and the members already. They have really welcomed me to the community, which has been a huge blessing.”

Club Pilates aims to make Pilates more accessible, setting itself apart from similar outfits through variety and affordability. Classes will be held seven days a week, offering three different levels and seven class types. Along with club memberships, drop-in options will also be available for those considering taking the dive into the world of Pilates.

According to Katie, golf and Pilates are a great combination, and there is no age or experience limit to Club Pilates. She explained that Pilates is excellent for rehabilitation and injury prevention through strengthening the stabilizing muscles in the body. “I am excited to be a part of helping people be able to golf and do what they love into old age,” noted Katie.

The official belief behind Club Pilates is that being in control of your body helps you to be in control of your life. Club Pilates first got its start in 2007 and since then has brought the Pilates experience to hundreds of thousands of people, serving up over eight million workouts each year.

“I want people to know that Pilates is for every BODY,” Katie concluded. “There is a place for everyone and all fitness levels at Club Pilates. My goal is to continue to hear stories of healing through movement.”

Club Pilates is slated to open in the near future, close to 2023. The studio will be located near Hickory Tavern at 9735 U.S. 15-501 Suite E. For more information, visit www.clubpilates.com or call (910) 783-2077.
