O’Neal’s Grace Simpson commits to Pepperdine University

The O’Neal School celebrated Grace Simpson’s athletic commitment and her joining Pepperdine University Women’s Track and Field and the Cross Country Program with an official signing ceremony before her peers on Monday, March 25.

“This achievement symbolizes not only Grace’s exceptional talent but also her unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence. She leaves our running programs better than when she found them, and we are excited to see how she will continue to shine on the collegiate running stage,” shares Athletic Director James Franklin.

Simpson heads to Malibu after becoming one of the most devoted and successful runners in O’Neal Cross Country and Track history. During her time competitively running for the school, O’Neal has become a perennial contender in cross country and track and field.

During the ceremony, O’Neal Sports Performance Coach Pierce Adams, who trains her year-round, shared some advice. “As you embark on a new chapter at Pepperdine University, remember that your success is not only measured by your accomplishments running but also by the character and integrity you demonstrate both on and off the trail. Carry with you the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance that have guided you this far, and let them be your compass as you navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”
