A Cameron man was arrested last week for breaking and entering of a building in Carthage. The Moore County Sheriff’s Office said a victim reported that a building on their property had been broken into and a vehicle stolen.
“During the course of the investigation, Cody Jerome Davis, 31, from Cameron, was identified as a suspect,” said Sheriff Godfrey. “On August 22, Davis was located and arrested by the Dunn Police Department in Harnett County. He was taken to the Harnett County Detention Center and charged with crimes related to this case.”
Davis was charged with one count (felony) breaking or entering, one count (F) larceny after breaking or entering, one count (F) larceny of a motor vehicle, one count (F) breaking or entering a motor vehicle.
Davis was placed under a $30,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on September 11, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
