A Moore County woman wanted for second-degree murder was arrested and jailed at the Moore County Detention Center on Friday.

A Moore County woman wanted for second-degree murder was arrested and jailed at the Moore County Detention Center on Friday.

Margaret Davis, 34, was wanted by U.S. Marshals and Moore County Sheriff’s Department.

According to jail records, Davis was arrested on eight charges, including second-degree murder, aggravated felony death by vehicle, driving while impaired, driving wrong way on dual lane, fail to yield serious injury, fail comply restricted driving, exceeding posted speed, and failure to stop at a stop sign.

The second-degree murder charge was listed with an offense date of Nov. 15, 2021. 

According to media reports, Davis failed to appear for trial regarding a felony death by motor vehicle case in Southern Pines.

The second-degree murder charge came with a $1 million secured bond.
