A driver suffered minor burns after a vehicle caught fire in Carthage Sunday evening.
The single-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of 24/27 and Highway 22 around 7 p.m.
The single passenger vehicle went off the road into a wooded area and caught on fire.
Moore County EMS transported the patient to FirstHeath Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Also responding to the scene were Carthage Fire & Rescue and Moore County Sheriff’s Department.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
