Eagle Springs collection site to close for improvements

The Eagle Springs Solid Waste Collection Site will be closed from Tuesday, December 2, to Tuesday, December 16, for site improvements. The site will reopen and return to normal operations on Wednesday, December 17.

Moore County currently has seven staffed compactor sites at Cameron, Carthage, Eagle Springs, Aberdeen, Midway, Robbins, and West End/Seven Lakes.

Residents needing to dispose of waste may visit any of the other locations, which can be found at the following addresses: 

Aberdeen: 400 Turning Leaf Way, Aberdeen, off Highway 5
Cameron: 276 Cranes Creek Road, Cameron, off Highway 24-27
Carthage: 5361 US Hwy 15-501, Carthage, near Highway 15-501 and Highway 22 intersection
Midway: 10496 Hwy 24-27 West, Carthage
West End/Seven Lakes: 605 Love Grove Church Road, West End, off Highway 211 near Elementary School Ball Field
Robbins: 1465 Leaman Road, Robbins, off Highway 705.

Recycling containers are provided at these sites for items such as aluminum cans, cardboard, glass, newspapers, magazines, mixed paper, plastic, white goods (washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, freezers), and other scrap metal. A collection site for oil and auto batteries is provided at the Carthage Site.
