Man accused of breaking into home, stealing Christmas presents

A 23-year-old man from Vass is accused of breaking into a home in the Woodlake Country Club in Vass and stealing Christmas presents, said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a statement issued to Sandhills Sentinel.

Aaron Oxendine was arrested on charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen goods, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to heed light or siren. 

Fields said the break-in occurred on Dec. 7.

“Responding deputies quickly obtained a description of a suspicious vehicle observed near the incident and located that vehicle a short distance from Woodlake,” said Fields. “Deputies stopped the vehicle and subsequently recovered property from the break-in and arrested the driver.”

The suspect’s secured bond was set at $75,000. He is due in court on Jan. 3 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
