Man arrested in Southern Pines, charged with possession of stolen firearm

The Southern Pines Police Department announced the arrest of Trez Allah Shon Farmer, 23, of Durham, for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, and resist, delay and obstruct a public officer.

On February 3, members of the Southern Pines Police Department’s Patrol and Investigation Divisions responded to a report of a man with a gun on Talmadge Way located in the Creston Commons apartment complex, according to Southern Pines Police Department in a news release.

Upon arrival, Trez Allah Shon Farmer was located matching the description provided to the responding officers. During the course of the investigation and subsequent search of Farmer, a concealed handgun was located on his person. Investigating officers soon determined this concealed handgun was reported stolen from another law enforcement jurisdiction.

Trez Allah Shon Farmer, after arrest, appeared before a Moore County magistrate where he was remanded to the Moore County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond pending a hearing in Moore County court on February 17. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
