Man held on $1M bond for child sex crimes

A 38-year-old Robbins man is facing child sex charges after being arrested Monday, said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a statement issued to Sandhills Sentinel.

Fields said his office received a report on Oct. 18 of alleged sexual abuse of a 12-year-old child in Robbins.

“On December 4, 2023, following an investigation, sheriff’s detectives arrested Luis Rodriguez Jaimes, age 38, of Robbins, North Carolina,” said Fields.

Jaimes was charged with one count of felony statutory sex offense with a child, one count of statutory rape of a child, and three counts of felony indecent liberties with a child.

Jaimes was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $1,000,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in Moore County district court on Dec. 15. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
