The Moore County Nursing and Adult Care Homes Community Advisory Committee (CAC) announces a full slate of officers for the 2020 Calendar Year.

Sandy Nusbaum (pictured center) will continue to serve as Chair. Sandy worked 30 years for Whirlpool Corporation in manufacturing engineering, human resources and materials and procurement.  After retiring in 1997, she and her husband moved to Georgia where she was Director of Human Resources and Plant Manager for a small manufacturing support company. 

In 2003, they moved to The Villages, Florida where she was a volunteer for The Villages Regional Hospital Auxiliary and served as President for three years while assisting in establishing an Auxiliary Foundation.  Sandy and her husband now reside in Southern Pines.

Vallerie Murphy (pictured left) will serve as a co-Vice Chair.   Vallerie moved from Connecticut to Whispering Pines in 2004 and has been a self-employed cosmetologist for over 20 years.  Her place of employment is Studio 590 located in Southern Pines.  Vallerie also holds a nursing degree and previously worked as an ER nurse.  She is the mother of two boys: Jacob and Joshua.

Sandi King (pictured right) will also serve as a co-Vice Chair.  Sandi, her husband Steve, and their son Brian moved to North Carolina from Maryland in 2009.  Sandi is a recent retiree from Cisco Systems, Inc. where she worked as a Senior Customer Experience Manager focusing her attention on the U.S. Federal Government (particularly Defense and Intelligence), along with private industry. 

Prior to Cisco, she spent 17 years at Hewlett-Packard in multiple marketing and administrative capacities.  She is enjoying her two grandchildren:  Wyatt and Tanner.  Sandi and Steve reside in Southern Pines.
