A two-vehicle collision in Pinehurst resulted in injuries on Friday evening. The Pinehurst Fire Department and Pinehurst Police responded to the crash site at the intersection of Highway 211 and Rattlesnake Trail at 7:15 p.m.
Officials at the scene told Sandhill Sentinel that a vehicle attempting a left-hand turn crossed into the path of another car.
Both cars sustained heavy damage with airbag deployment. The Lincoln’s passenger side door had to be removed to access a person.
Initially, aircare was on standby. After evaluation, several people were transported by EMS to Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
