A driver escaped injury Thursday morning after a Nissan rolled over and came to rest on its roof along Red Hill Road in Cameron.
Authorities on scene told Sandhills Sentinel that the vehicle was traveling west on Red Hill Road shortly before noon when the driver lost control right past Monarch Lane. The Nissan overturned and landed on its roof off the roadway.
According to radio traffic, the driver, the vehicle’s only occupant, was not trapped and was able to safely exit the vehicle.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Airbags were deployed and both rear view mirrors were knocked off the car. The vehicle remained upside down off the roadway while authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
The N.C. State Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
