Obituary Billy Lewis Aberdeen

Billy E. Lewis, 50, of Aberdeen died suddenly Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 2 pm Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Ashely Heights Cemetery.

Born on October 6, 1970, in Moore County to the late Robert and Patsy Carpenter Wilson. Billy began his firefighting career at age 16 with the Crestline Fire Department under Chief Adrian Allred and later became fire chief of Crestline. Billy is currently the Moore County Ranger with the NC Forestry Service and serves as Assistant Fire Chief with Aberdeen Fire and Rescue.

Billy loved N.C. State University, his fire service family, his family, and his granddaughter Graycee.

Survived by his daughters Brittney Lewis and Ashley Lewis both of Aberdeen, his Aunt Betty Key of Ramseur, a granddaughter Graycee McKinnon, Also survived by girlfriend Chasadi Mackey and her children Tristin and Ian Mackey

Billy will lie in state with Fireman Honors from 12 til 5 with the family here from 3-5 on Sunday at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aberdeen Volunteer Firefighters Association, 800 Holly St. Aberdeen, NC 28315.
