Obituary Curtis Elmer Hacker Carthage

Curtis Elmer Hacker, 76, of Carthage, NC passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his home.  

Curt was born in Covington, KY on April 2, 1944 to the late Elmer Fred Hacker and the late Zella Parsons Hacker.

A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.   COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.

Curt served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was fiercely proud of his military service.  He was also an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.  He loved spending time with family, especially his granddaughters, tending to his chickens and kitty cat, and riding motorcycles.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son Jim Hacker (wife Colleen); daughter Tracy Wilkes (husband Richard); six grandchildren Gracie Hacker, Eliza Hacker, Mary Heyer, Sarah Mondragon (husband Marco), Wade Wilkes and Hayley Wilkes.  He is also survived by a brother Tim Hacker (wife Judy); sister Karen Paedon (husband Bob) and a long-time buddy Danny Thomas.
