Dorothy “Jean” Riley, 73, of Aberdeen, NC passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, NC.
Jean was born in Moore County on July 23, 1947 to the late Harold and Dora Combs Rogers. Jean was a life-long Moore County native. She worked 39 years at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Payroll and other capacities. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband John Franklin Riley in 2018.
She is survived by a son, Chad W. Riley and his wife Beth of Aberdeen; a daughter, Paige Monroe and her husband Heath of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Cole and Lily Riley and Henley and Lucas Monroe;
a brother, Donald Rogers (Connie); sister Doris Ann Vanboskerck (Nick) and a brother-in-law Larry Riley.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 beginning at 3:00 PM at Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, Southern Pines, with a memorial service following at 5:00 PM. COVID guidelines will be observed.
