Gertrude E. Duguay, 78, of Carthage, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Peak Resources – Pinelake in Carthage.  
  
Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. William Hancock, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Gertrude was born in Robbins on November 7, 1939 to the late Kenny and Lydia (Wallace) Maness. She grew up and attended school in Robbins. She retired from Carthage Fabrics where she worked for over 30 years
  
She was preceded in death by brothers Donnie Maness and James Paul Maness; sister Bonnie Maness.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Robert Duguay; son, Robert “Tony” Duguay and wife Terry of Robbins;  daughters, Dorothy Cummings and husband Johnny of Vass Gloria Flinchum and husband Ricky of Carthage, Teresa Joseph and husband Johnny of Johnsonville;  sisters, Dot Boudin of Robbins, Judy Moore of Spies; four brothers, Johnny Maness of Black Ankle (Star), David Maness of Robbins, LeRoy  Maness of Robbins, Clyde Maness of Carthage;nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.  
  
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Kennedy Funeral Home and other times at the home of Gloria and Ricky Flinchum.
