Jerry Nelson Frye, age 76, of Carthage, North Carolina passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at Richmond County Hospice Haven in Rockingham surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born in Moore County on March 1, 1947 to the late James Roland Frye, Sr. and Margaret Eames Frye. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Rose Frye and second wife, Marie F. Frye.
He is survived by his daughters, Sonya Marie Dakin (Daryl) of South Carolina and Karen Mitchell of West End; sister, Gail Bigger of West End; brothers, James Roland Frye, Jr. of Holden Beach, Richard Wayne Frye (Corky) of Pinehurst, David Paul Frye of West End and Christopher Frye of West End; four grandchildren, Lindsay, Madison, Grayson and Katherine; three great-grandchildren, Leighanne, Walker and Paisleigh.
He was a loving father, brother, uncle and Big Papa and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Cox Memorial Funeral Home in Vass.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 am at Beulah Hill Baptist Church in West End with burial following in the church cemetery.
