On February 23, 2023 our beloved Jimmie Carol Harral passed away at home in Southern Pines, NC, not far from where she was raised on a family farm in Lakeview, NC. At her side were two of her sons Robert Wilson Hodges, III and William Mark Hodges.
Jimmie is also survived by her grandchildren, Nathan Cole Hodges and his brother Jason Dee Hodges, sons of Robert and Rhonda Hodges; cousin and friend Evelyn M. Stevens. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Christopher Haynes Hodges. At 96 years young, Jimmie was also the last of her eight brothers and sisters.
Jimmie left the farm in 1944 to join in the war effort, she worked in the Communication Department of FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC. After World War II, she married the late Robert Wilson Hodges, II. They had three sons which she raised in Washington, DC. Jimmie Carol was of the Great Generation. Those who knew Jimmie were among the lucky. We love you Mom!
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 2:00PM at Boles Funeral Home, 425. W. Pennsylvania Avenue, Southern Pines, NC 28387.
