Johnny Brooks Williams, Jr., 75, of Columbia, SC, passed away on September 8, 2024. Born on June 18, 1949, in Pinehurst, NC, he was a son to the late Johnny Brooks Williams and Dallas Inez Brock Williams. Johnny was a respected building contractor known for his dedication and craftsmanship.
Johnny was the life of the party, always offering a kind word and a smile. He was deeply loved by his wife and soulmate, Regina Monfredo Williams, and cherished his family profoundly. He is survived by his loving wife, Regina; children, Chris and Lisa Williams of Ellerbe, NC, Shelley Herbert of Las Vegas, NV, Michael and Jessica Williams of Mauldin, SC, and Heather Williams of Supply, NC; his main buddy grandson Liam Ryan Williams; granddaughters Amber Williams of Raeford, NC, and Hayley Williams of Raleigh, NC; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Jim and Sandra Chasar of Longs, SC, and Beverly Callicutt of Pinehurst, NC; as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Specialist Johnathan Lee Williams, his parents, and his mother-in-law, Peggy Lee Wise.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Johnny found peace and joy in the outdoors. His hobbies were a significant part of his life, providing not only recreation but also a cherished connection to nature.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Deep Creek Baptist Church, Linden Rd, Aberdeen, NC. In keeping with Johnny’s wishes, attendees are encouraged to come dressed casually.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Johnny.
Johnny’s legacy of kindness, joy, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.
