Lorraine Evelyn Trudeau, 95, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 3:58 AM, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for family and friends at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 1:30 pm.

Lorraine will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC beside her beloved husband Lt. Col. Paul R. Trudeau.

Lorraine was born March 30, 1924, in Duluth, Minnesota to the late Henry and Edith Fawcett Duame. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul R. Trudeau in 2015.

Lorraine married her childhood sweetheart, Paul, in 1946. They were married 69 years. Lorraine was by her husband’s side as a strong military wife during his career in the Air Force. She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In 1975, Lorraine and Paul built the very first house in Woodlake Country Club in Vass, NC and have resided there for the past 44 years. They were also the owners of Pee Wee Storage in Vass, NC. Lorraine was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with her friends playing bridge.

Lorraine is survived by her four children: Sharon Sexton, Patti Waters (Rick), Lynda Barnett (Sid), and son Paul R. Trudeau lll (Heather). Paul and Lorraine were blessed with 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Reid Heart Center at First Health Moore Regional. While there, Lorraine and her family were treated with the utmost compassion, professionalism, and person-centered care.
