Obituary for Master Kenji Nicholi Watts

Master Kenji Nicholi Watts, age 4, of Raleigh, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at WakeMed North Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Kenji Watts was born to Malcolm Watts and Tristina Tettis on May 21, 2018 in Brooklyn, New York. Kenji and his family later moved to North Carolina in 2019.

Kenji was a bright 4-year-old who was extremely educated and intelligent. Whatever task he was given, he mastered it. He was a very respectful individual who loved everyone that crossed his path. His smile was infectious, and his presence was gracious. Kenji enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and reading books to all who would listen.

Kenji was preceded in death by his great grandfather, El Amin Jihadbey.

Kenji will live on in the hearts and memories of his family and friends. He is survived by his father, Malcolm Watts of Charlotte, North Carolina; his mother, Tristina Tettis of Raleigh, North Carolina; his brother, Kimahri Watts; his grandmother, Angelique Watts (Michael) of Columbia, South Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Evian Tettis; his grandfather, Leonard Jones of Charlotte; his uncle, Quanard Jones of Charlotte; his aunts, Tajariah Watts Jones and Anaya Jones of Southern Pines, North Carolina; his great uncles, Julius Richardson (Lindsay) of Metuchen, New Jersey, Charles Watts of Pinehurst, North Carolina, and Prince Richardson of Southern Pines; his great grandmother, Rosalind Jihadbey of Southern Pines; and a host of other relatives and friends.
