Ruth Moser Prim, age 92, of Carthage, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Born May 1, 1931 in Surry County, she was the daughter of the late William and Thanie Coe Moser. Ruth was a homemaker for her three children and her late husband, Sam Prim who died in 2012. Ruth is also preceded in death by her sisters: Yvonne Ring and Betty Elder, and her two brothers: Ray and W.C. Moser.
Ruth is survived by one daughter: Julie McDonald and her husband Tim; two sons: Robert Prim and wife Robin, and Andrew Prim. She is also survived by her sisters: Helen Murke of Roanoke, VA, and Hetty Lou Hobson of Boonville, NC; Louise Thompson of Winston-Salem, NC, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Ruth worked hard on the family tobacco farm for more than 50 years. She loved gardening, wild flowers, feeding the birds, but more importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for May 21, 2023, at 4 p.m. at River Pines Venue, 2555 Farm Life School Road, Carthage, NC.
