Colonel Jack Augustus Fowler was born May 22, 1924 in San Jose California, at the age of 93; passed away on 23 January 2018, he was the son of Harry Bushrod Fowler and Agusta Isabelle “Belle” Brooke. 

Colonel Jack Fowler was a highly decorated WWII Veteran, flight engineer, Communications Officer and top turret gunner of the B-17 nicknamed “Little Skipper”, 100th Bomber Group, Square “D”, 349th Squadron surviving 33 combat missions over Germany and occupied countries. Ending his 30+ year career in the U.S. Air Force as a Colonel, finally retiring in Pinehurst, built a house on course #6, to play golf eight (8) days a week. He is to be buried at Arlington VA., with his first wife Dorothy L. Brown Fowler, who passed away Oct. 22, 2012. They are survived by three children; Jack A. and his wife Jane N. and daughter Jessica. (Robyn N. and Jack III from former marriage) Richard J. and, Wendy A. Fowler.
