One person was hurt in a wreck on Tuesday afternoon when a Ford Super Duty pickup truck pulling a trailer out of Tractor Supply Co. on Highway U.S. 1 in Vass was struck by a Chevy Impala on the driver’s side.
Authorities say that the driver of the truck was attempting to cross the highway to get on U.S. 1 South when he failed to see the Chevy approaching.
The male driver of the Chevy was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The two male passengers of the truck did not sustain injuries.
The left lane of U.S. 1 North was shut down for cleanup. Traffic on both lanes of U.S. 1 South was stopped while the vehicles were loaded onto the wreckers.
Cypress Point Fire Department, Moore County EMS, and N.C. Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
