The team’s vocal leaders played a crucial role in maintaining positivity, offering encouragement and advice on the court. The players demonstrated resilience and a strong sense of unity, never giving up throughout the match.

With the season just beginning, the team is determined to build confidence and improve with each game.

The O’Neal varsity boys soccer team kicked off their season with a spirited performance against Thales Academy on Monday. Despite an early setback when Thales capitalized on a breakaway, the Falcons showed resilience, creating several chances of their own before halftime.

The Falcons managed to level the score with a well-taken penalty kick, bringing the game to 1-1. For 60 minutes, the match remained tightly contested, with both teams battling for control.

However, the Falcons, limited by a lack of substitutes, began to feel the effects of fatigue as the game wore on. In the final 20 minutes, Thales took advantage of the situation, scoring three goals to secure a 4-1 victory.

Despite the result, the Falcons’ early effort was commendable, and the team is expected to grow stronger with each game.
