A 30-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a home in Aberdeen.
Aberdeen Police Chief Brian Chavis said in a press release that Carl Quintano Gipson, of Fort Liberty, was arrested on Monday after he allegedly entered into a home in the area of Highway 5 and Pinehurst Street without the consent or knowledge of the homeowner.
“Aberdeen officers responded to the area and began speaking with the victim, who stated an individual that did not reside there, entered her home to take items without her consent,” said Chavis. “She was able to provide officers with evidence, to include statements from witnesses. After further investigation, warrants were obtained on Gipson for Felony breaking or entering, and larceny.”
Chavis said numerous resources were utilized to locate Gipson, leading to his immediate apprehension.
“This appears to be an isolated event and the suspect was known to the victim,” said Chavis.
Gipson was also served with another warrant for communicating threats. He was given no immediate bond, pending bond setting by a judge on a later date. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
