Police investigating shots fired in front of Aberdeen home

Aberdeen Police Department is investigating shots being fired on Saunders Avenue in the Colonial Heights neighborhood Sunday evening.

The 9-1-1 call came in just before 10 p.m. saying about 5-6 shots were fired in front of a home. Officers responded to the area and found shell casings in the road, according to Aberdeen Police Department.

They could not locate anyone that had been shot at the scene. Reports are that a vehicle was seen leaving the area, but this has not been confirmed.

Aberdeen Police had the area cordoned off, and the street was shut down to traffic while investigators worked.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
