Regina Joe appointed to superior court

On Monday, Gov. Roy Cooper announced a judicial appointment to the North Carolina Superior Court.

The Honorable Regina M. Joe has been appointed to Superior Court District 19D, serving Hoke and Moore counties. The vacancy on the court was created by the retirement of the Honorable James Webb.

Judge Joe has served as a district court judge since 2007. She previously served as a public defender in Hoke and Scotland counties and in the district attorney’s offices in Hoke, Scotland and Pitt counties.

She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law.
