NC drivers: Beware of BAT-mobiles looking for impaired drivers

Robbins Police Department and other members of Sandhills Region 6 Traffic Task Force held several traffic enforcement events in the Robbins area over the weekend. The efforts resulted in a total of 65 charges.

The 65 charges consisted of one DWI, two driving after consuming, three open containers, nine drug charges, one left of center, nine driving while license revoked, four restraint violations, six window tint, 17 no operator’s license, and 13 registration violations.

The checkpoints were held Friday night at Hwy 705 and Clanies Loop Road, Plank Road at HBS, Middleton Street Extention and Talc Mine Road, and Hwy 705 and Whisper Lane.

Participating agencies were Robbins, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Foxfire, Cameron, Candor, Biscoe, Vass, Moore County Sheriff’s Office, Scotland County Sheriff’s office, and the NC DHHS BAT mobile.
