The driver of a Chevrolet truck was injured in a rollover crash on Friday afternoon.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene on N.C. Highway 73 near Hotel Street in Jackson Springs just after 3:45 p.m.
Emergency crews had to pry open the passenger side doors of the heavily damaged truck to allow the male driver to exit the vehicle. He was transported to the hospital by Moore County EMS.
According to troopers investigating the crash, the driver lost control of the vehicle and went off the road’s right shoulder. The Chevy struck an embankment and flipped at least one time.
Highway Patrol told Sandhills Sentinel that weather could have played a factor, and they are still investigating the collision.
